- Exit the motorway and follow signs to City Centre passing the airport.
- A702 take City Bypass North direction airport
- The Airport to City Centre road meets the end of the Edinburgh city Bypass. Take underpass if from the motorway or circle right from the By-pass to city centre and indicate to turn left at the bottom of the slope, direction Barnton, Edinburgh North. 1 mile to big Barnton Junction and filter right on to Queensferry Road direction Edinburgh North.
- Travel on Queensferry Road (or continuations of) until city Centre. The route is straight ahead except for a veer to the right at a forked junction in front of a tyre garage.
- City Centre reached after crossing a bridge over a gorge with a sharp left turn after it, closely followed by traffic lights.
- Turn left at lights into Randolf Crescent and follow the traffic round the Crescents until on to Queen Street
- Drive the Length of Queen Street until it becomes York Place and at the last set of traffic lights before opening up into a round-about, turn left down Broughton Street.
- At the bottom of Broughton Street, turn left into London Street, this leads to Drummond Place, turn right and round a left corner, turn right again into Scotland Street.
- Take the City By-pass to Edinburgh North until entering Edinburgh on the A1 road. Follow signs to City Centre.
- At the the bottom of the dual-carriageway ramp, go through the first round-about and turn left to the city centre at the 2nd.
- Continue straight on for 2 miles through each junction until Jocks Lodge crossroads where city centre signs will be to the left.
- Go past a stadium, up a hill until forked junction with an uphill left turn. Stay head and to the right at this junction until a big roundabout after a tree lined park.
- Turn left uphill at the roundabout, past the Playhouse, and three-quarters round the next roundabout staying in the right hand lane to take a downhill road infront of you.
- This is Broughton Street.
- At the bottom of Broughton Street, turn left into London Street, this leads to Drummond Place, turn right and then right again into Scotland Street.
